Each year, W4W receives thousands of urgent requests for rescues and advice involving sick, injured, orphaned or displaced wildlife. This vital work is powered by enthusiastic volunteers and generous supporters like you. Our network of dedicated volunteers drives every step - from answering our rescue phone to rescuing and transporting wildlife to a vet or registered shelter.

Wildlife shelters and foster carers operate with little to no government funding, relying entirely on community support to provide life-saving treatment and prepare animals for a safe return to the wild.

By stepping up as a volunteer phone operator or rescuer, you’re not just helping our wildlife - you’re also supporting shelters, freeing up their time to focus on what they do best: caring for animals.

Volunteers shape their own path with us, and commitment levels are entirely up to you. Flexible hours that fit your life, with any level of participation making a real difference.

Warriors 4 Wildlife runs a support centre at our warehouse in Narre Warren, distributing donated supplies to shelters. We’re also the main stockists of Wombaroo milk products for Victoria and Tasmania.

We are always looking for committed people for round-the-clock roles in administration, warehouse picking and packing, fundraising, education and more. All forms of help are invaluable and help us achieve our mission.

To become a volunteer with Warriors 4 Wildlife, you must complete one of our basic training courses and register to join the team.

To volunteer with Warrios 4 Wildlife:

• You must be over 18 and reside in Victoria.
• Own a smartphone.
• Volunteer Rescue & Transporters - Must hold a valid licence and have access to a car.
• Complete a police check (provided free when you register to join)
• At the end of the course you will be provided a certificate of completion. You will need this to join us.

Once you’ve finished the training and registered, reach out and let us know your skills and availability.

All advanced training courses are designed specifically for experienced and skilled rescuers. They are not suitable for individuals who have not completed a basic wildlife rescue course.

Participants must already possess:

• a solid understanding of animal behaviour,

• established safety protocols, and

• practical experience from multiple rescues
