Dive into our Online Basic Wildlife Rescue and Transport Workshop! This course, typically taking 4-5 hours to complete at your own pace, is your essential guide to helping Victoria's native animals.

Discover the fascinating world of Victoria’s wildlife in your backyard. Learn how to properly assess different species for symptoms of illness or injury and what to do to help them. This training also covers pouch checks and how to safely capture, handle and transport injured or orphaned wildlife or who to call for advice. It also touches on more advanced techniques and criteria required for other species once your experience grows.

Wildlife Rescue and Transport isn’t for everyone, but this course is a must for anyone wanting to know what to do when you find wildlife needing help.

We also cover the 'What Not To Do’s' and we’ll dish out the scoop on the essential gear you should have in your car for those wildlife rescue missions.

All participants who complete the workshop and successfully pass the easy quiz that follows each module will receive a Certificate Of Completion.

Anyone can attend the workshop, however to become a volunteer rescue and transporter you must be over the age of 18 and have a current drivers licence.
